Living in Cusco we become witnesses of a city in which different cultures, languages, and worldviews are constantly intermingled and interwoven. Sometimes our ancient Inca capital looks like a living being that shows its different faces and spirits through its inhabitants and visitors. They are characters that we can meet in their squares and alleys or in the surrounding fields and through whose stories Cusco is sometimes festive and hospitable, other times hostile, discriminatory and rebellious.
In essence, all humans are the same, however, social and cultural barriers sometimes mean that we do not recognize the other as human or we cannot see them directly. The other is a photographic object of a tourist trip because of its picturesque appearance. The other is an enemy because of his lifestyle that seems threatening to ours. The other is the substance of our admiration for his talent. But when can we really glimpse our shared humanity in someone else's gaze?

Through TEJIENDO CUSCO, we want to promote awareness of the different ways of life that coexist in small spaces, value them and understand their right to be. We want to create a project that claims diversity and inclusion. An appeal to go beyond reality itself since sometimes incredible stories pass a few meters away. You just have to know how to look.
